Aprilia Tuono 457 has just been launched in India after the success of Aprilia RS 457 launches last year. Aprilia RS 457 has been the most loved parallel twin cylinder engine sports motorcycle by the Indian Motorheads in the last year and also it is been the Indian Motorcycle of the year in the year 2024.
Design
Aprilia has arrived with the Tuono 457 with a complete new look from other Tuono line-up in the Aprilia family. Though the overall look is a matter to argue as some people likes it whereas others do not. It is likely to be a matter of time of growing up with the presence and looks of the very fresh launch of the Aprilia Tuono 457, since it comes with a very aggressive and unique look unlike other Aprilia siblings. Embracing a naked streetfighter aesthetic, the Tuono 457 showcases a distinctive triple LED headlight paired with a DRL and aggressive bodywork, reflecting Aprilia’s signature design language.
Power and Performance
The Aprilia Tuono 457 is powered by 457 cc parallel twin cylinder BS6 complaint engine which develops a power of 46.9 bhp and a torque of 43.5 Nm. The Tuono shares the same engine with the RS 457 and develops similar performances like the other. Power is transmitted through a six-speed manual gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch, ensuring smooth gear shifts and enhanced control. The Aprilia Tuono 457 clocks a top speed of 190 KMPH as reported by the initial tests.
Ownership Cost
The Aprilia Tuono 457 comes at an on-road price of 4.8 lakhs in Kolkata. As report, the RS 457 is managing to provide 20-25 KMPL in an average, since the Tuono is sharing the same engine we can expect that it will also provide a similar mileage. Considering an average owner would ride 25kms on an average daily, the running cost would require 1.3 litres of petrol which is on an average around 105 INR per litre. Therefor 140 bucks for petrol daily turns into 4200 bucks in a month. Now considering the average running cost other than fuel which included the maintenance and consumable parts is around 10000 INR average of every year.
